The S1 canister shell is a type of 90mm ammunition used by M808B Main Battle Tanks as early as 2531. Referred to as "grapeshot" by UNSC Marines, the shell is extremely effective against massed units and enemy structures.[1] Upon detonation, it produces a very large blast that is almost invariably fatal to unprotected infantry.

Gameplay

"Canister Shells" can be researched in the vehicle depot. Afterwards, all Scorpions will be equipped with it as their special ability.
