| Sniper Jackals are extremely clever. They always wield [[Beam Rifle]]s and [[Plasma Pistol]]s and hide themselves out of sight, preferring to station themselves in open spaces to attack from long range. Their aim is very deadly, almost always connecting with a target. A single shot from a Jackal Sniper can kill a [[Spartan II]] with full energy shields on the [[Legendary]] difficulty, no matter where it hits. A Jackal sniper has superb eyesight, seeing enemies far off and quickly taking them out with their weapon. If an enemy gets close enough to the Sniper Jackal, it will drop its rifle and pull out a [[Plasma Pistol]]. They usually panic too much to even get off a shot with the pistol. Without their shields, Sniper Jackals are much easier to kill.
