David was the boyfriend of Doctor Lulu Hershey.[1] He proposed marriage to the doctor, and moved out of their apartment after her refusal, then spent a night on the couch. Hershey was no entirely certain why she had said "no" to David's proposal, but she was sure that to accept she would have to be entirely certain that she was ready for marriage.
