EMP Kill is a medal in Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach, in the latter called EMP Blast.
In Halo 3: ODST, it is awarded when a player kills a Jiralhanae shortly after disabling its power armor[1], as well as any shielded enemy including the Kig-yar and Huragok.
It is represented by a 16-pointed green star over a 16-pointed gold star, with an overcharged plasma pistol bolt over the green star.
In Halo: Reach, the medal is awarded for killing an opponent after his/her shields collapsed from an EMP burst by using Armor Lock, grenade launchers or overcharged plasma pistol bolts.
