Lieutenant Junior Grade David Brightling was a crew member of the UNSC remote scanning outpost Fermion on the periphery of the Epsilon Eridani system in 2552. Lieutenant Brightling was under the command of Chief Petty Officer McRobb and was killed after the station self-destructed per the Cole Protocol just before the Fall of Reach[1].
