The Battle of Alpha Aurigae was a major battle in the early years of the Human-Covenant War. The human fleet, consisting of 117 ships,[1] engaged 12 Covenant warships, destroying the enemy force but losing a total of thirty-seven ships in the process.[2] It was one of the rare naval "victories" for the UNSC.
