*As John Doe gains strength, he asks Sergeant Lopez "You don't know, do you?" As he gains yet more strength, John Doe makes a joke, saying "This is where I'm supposed to say, tell my girl I love her, that sort of thing." 
*John Doe soon explains to Sergeant [[Zhao Heng Lopez]] that he knows he is dying saying, "...I know I'm dying. But that's okay. I'm clean. I'm here. I won't come back. It's okay. It's all okay." These are John Doe's last words.
