| there is speculation as to why they are infected only in Halo Wars and not in any other game. One theory is. that the planet the crew of ''spirit of fire''explored and found these grunt forms on was in such a humongous state of infection that the the flood has evolved enough to make the calcium they need on their own effectivley allowing them to infect whatever they want
