Recon 43 was a UNSC reconnaissance unit stationed on the planet Reach. During the Fall of Reach, the unit spotted a Covenant patrol of three Ghosts and twenty-four infantry. Despite instructions from Gamma 1 not to engage, Recon 43 engaged the Covenant, drawing the attention of a larger Covenant unit. The unit was presumably killed.[1]
