- "Rejoice your Holiness for we have found the doorway to the relic you spoke of."
- — Commander Wamik
Commander Re'gish Wamik was a Sangheilian Field Master in the Covenant military. He served during the Harvest Campaign in 2531.[1]
Biography
During the final stages of the Harvest Campaign, Wamik commanded the Covenant forces that found the doorway to the newly-discovered Forerunner Relic. He sent a message to the Prophet of Regret informing him of their findings and requesting that he send the Arbiter so that they may open the Relic.
It is unknown if Re'gish died on Harvest, but it is probable that he fought with the Covenant forces trying to stop the UNSC from disabling the Covenant bomb in the Forerunner relic.
Trivia
- His name is unusual for a Sangheili, as his surname lacks both the apostrophe before the name and the -ee suffix even though he is in the military, although the latter is not entirely unheard of. Unlike other Sangheili who also lack the -ee suffix, he is not a swordsman either, which would require him to have an -ai suffix. The lack of a suffix may have merely been an oversight.
