Error: The cover of the Spartan Black shows the Spartans in Mark VI armor. If the book takes place during the Battle of Reach, then the spartans should have had Mark V armor. Even Master Chief didn't get Mark VI armor that early. It may be because since they work for ONI then they must get new technology early. Though that is just an explenation that may not be possible. | |||

Halo: Spartan Black is an upcoming four-part comic series about a team of stranded SPARTAN-II Commandos before the Battle of Reach in mid-2552 [1]. It is set to be launched in December 2009. It is written by Fred Van Lente, and will be penciled and inked by Francis Portela.
Official Synopsis
