Charles was a human civilian on the archaeological colony of Ariel in 2552. He was apparently responsible for the communications in the colony.[1]

Biography

When the Covenant attacked Ariel, Charles was seated in the transmissions bay of the colony, and died of the shock of seeing the Covenant attack. A female civilian then pushed his body off the chair to send a distress signal to the UNSC. The ODSTs, who arrived later, found his body. They noticed no signs of violent death, coming to the conclusion he had, in fact, died of fright.[1]
