*When you come out of the building onto the ledge in front of the Control Room, a couple of Elites enter Banshees and attack you. If you shoot one of them before he gets in, he will instead shoot at you with his [[Type-25 Directed Energy Rifle|Plasma Rifle]]. Then, you can take his Banshee and fly directly to the Control Room, skipping a difficult portion of the level.

*The level description describes it as a defensive mission, while an assault is the opposite of it. Rather than staying in one place to fend off enemies, ''you'' are the assault.

*It was possible on the original Xbox to take a Banshee after where you can first get in the tank. When you get in, destroy all enemies in the vicinity, move foward, but don't go in the tunnel with the two Ghosts, instead go left under the natural bridge. Above that, you should see the platform that in the later level, Two Betrayals, leads to the last power generator. On top of that platform is a Banshee, which an Elite will eventually get in. At a good angle, take your Rocket Launcher or tank and shoot it down. Don't worry about destroying it, it is indestructible until you get into it. Be careful not to trigger the Elite by going to far, or else you have to revert to last checkpoint, and if that's not possible then restart the mission. Once you get in the Banshee, continue the mission as you would normally until you exit the tunnel. You should get to a huge tower, which at the top has more Banshees, in case your current one is damaged. If you opt to get a new one or not, fly really high. It possible to skip the rest of the level without killing a single enemy since you weren't on the ground to trigger more AI. Land on the second birdge (the same one if you were playing normally when you are crossing the last bridge to the control room) and go through the door. From here you can finish the level and not have to fight a single enemy.
