Vorenus was a Jiralhanae of the Covenant attached to the warship, Rapid Conversion [1]. He was a part of Maccabeus' pack. Vorenus was taller and more muscular than Maccabeus, and possibly was a close friend to the Chieftain, second only to Tartarus. Much later, Vorenus held Staff Sergeant Byrne hostage but was killed by the militia shortly after.
