Dass was a middle aged, married, and overweight Colonial Militia recruit. He was assigned as First Platoon's One-Alpha Squad leader, during the Battle of Harvest near Gladsheim [1]. Later on in the battle, he borded the Tiara with the other volunteers. He was wounded there by a bolt from plasma pistol, whose owner was an Unggoy named Guff. When the Unngoy Humnum wanted to finish Dass off, Sergeant Major Avery Johnson rescued him and killed Humnum. Dass then entered the container and successfully fled Harvest.
