Lieutenant Colonel Aboim was a NAVSPECWAR battalion commander in 2524.
Background
He was SSgts Avery Johnson and Nolan Byrne's commanding officer during Operation: TREBUCHET. He commanded them during actions on Tribute while searching for Insurrectionist bomb-makers from the TOC of the UNSC Bum Rush. He ordered them to pursue a bomb maker to a Jim Dandy restaurant, where a hostage situation ensued, leading to the deaths of three Marines, 38 civilians and two Insurrectionists, as well as the severe injury of Byrne [1].
He later gave each sergeant notes detailing the result of the mission, along with leave from Operation: TREBUCHET [2].
