Template:Human Character Infobox Staff Sergeant Nolan Byrne is a UNSC Marine Infantryman [1]. He was a longtime friend of Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson. Byrne was of Irish descent.
Biography
Byrne participated in Operation: TREBUCHET in 2524. Byrne led a squad of Marines alongside Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson. Their squads used Hornets to hop from target to target and eliminated rebel bomb making factories. However, when a rebel was cornered in a Jim Dandy restauraunt, Byrne was severely wounded and his men killed when the rebel detonated her bomb. He eventually recovered, but was resentful of Johnson from that point on from what he saw as Johnson's failure to stop the woman.
Byrne joined Johnson on Harvest to help train the Colonial Militia on that planet. He helped defend the planet from Covenant hostiles and he recieved multiple injuries in the conflict.
