Biography
Byrne participated in Operation: TREBUCHET in 2524. Byrne led a squad of Marines alongside Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson. Their squads used Hornets to hop from target to target and eliminated rebel bomb makers. However, when a rebel was cornered in a Jim Dandy restauraunt, Byrne was severely wounded and his men killed when the rebel detonated her bomb. He eventually recovered, but was resentful of Johnson from that point on from what he saw as Johnson's failure to stop the woman.
Byrne then joins Johnson on Harvest to help train the colonial militia on that planet. He helps defend the planet from Covenant hostiles and receives multiple injuries on its behalf.
