| '''Moonbase Alpha''' is the codename for one of the ''[[Halo 3]]'' Downloadable Content [[multiplayer]] maps <ref>[[Bungie Weekly Update]]: 10/12/07</ref>. It has been described that its fairly large, and is best suited for games such as [[Capture The Flag]] and [[Assault]]. It has also been stated that it has some unique characteristics that make [[Slayer]] interesting and [[Infection]] terrifying. It was the first DLC Map to be announced, with the other being [[Jodrell Bank]]. Also in the Bungie Weekly Update 1/11/07 it said that fans of [[Elongation]] would enjoy the map. This does NOT mean it is a remake or a spiritual successor, but could relate to the fact the [[Elongation]] is on a space station.
