The Commando Unit[1] is a Covenant Seperatist Sangheili (Elite) combat force constructed in late 2552. It is part of the Special Warfare Group.
Its operatives were equipped and issued with the superior-quality and lighter-weight Commando Armor compared to the standard-issue Combat Armor.
The Commando Unit may be related to the Covenant Special Operations.
