Template:Human Character Infobox Reynolds was the leader of Marine Fireteam Bravo that was searching for John-117's crashing point.
Biography
While his team was searching for the Master Chief, he alerted Sergeant Johnson to the fact that there were Covenant enemies nearby, however doing so gave away his position and he and his squad immediately came under attack, making it impossible for him respond to further radio hails.
His squad was pinned down by a Phantom commanded by a Brute Chieftain and all were killed, save for him. The aforementioned Chieftain confronted Reynolds on a log bridge and began to interrogate him on the location of "it" (probably referring to the piece of debris that the Master Chief entered Earth's atmosphere on) but Reynolds refused to divulge any information on the whereabouts of whatever "it" was. Just then the Master Chief intervened and saved Reynolds from certain death. Reynolds then jumped off the bridge, grabbed an Assault Rifle from one of his fallen comrades, and informed the Master Chief of his situation.
(While it's possible that he died during the events that transpired later that day, it should be noted that he does spawn on the Ark as a friendly NPC, albeit randomly, meaning that it's very likely that he, along with Sergeant Stacker, made it back to Earth safely aboard the Shadow of Intent.)
Trivia
- It is possible for the player to just let the Brute kill Reynolds and not intervene. The Brute will crack Reynold's spine and throw him off the bridge.
- Reynolds is voiced by Hollywood actor Nathan Fillion, best known for his role in the cancelled Fox TV series Firefly and its feature film "sequel" Serenity. Incidentally, his Firefly/Serenity character's last name was also Reynolds, who also held the rank of Sergeant.
