The Scout Armor is a type of United Nations Space Command body armor.
Introduction
The Scout is a variant of the standard Mark VI MJOLNIR powered battle armor. The armor uses advance materials to give it stealth attributes. It will be an armor permutation in Halo 3 multiplayer. Bungie has confirmed all of the armor permutations have no effect on gameplay.
Development and History
The Scout Armor was developed by ONI in conjunction with the Recon Armor in B5D Ordanance Testing Facility in Swanbourne, Perth, Australia.
Characteristics
Helmet Characteristics
It features a 'cap' like protrusion along its rim, a beak-like protrusion under the chin, and a thin, slit-shaped visor.
Shoulder Characteristics
It's shoulder pads are similar to the original marines from Halo CE however they are switched around and in the shape of a A.
Chest Characteristics
The chest plate is similar to the EVA and the CQB in that it is merely an attachment. It is a H shaped plate over the upper torso and a pair of articulated plates attached to its bottom.
Unlock
- Head: Get the Used Car Salesman Achievement.
- Shoulders: Get the Mongoose Mowdown Achievement.
- Body: Get the Too Close to the Sun Achievement.

Trivia
- Though originally assumed to be an original armor, dubbed the fifth Unknown Armor, the fact they are the same one was confirmed by incredibly similar design and the fact there is a Tenth armor confirmed by gameplay, the Marathon Armor. however its helmet is less squared off, it has a thicker band of armor around the chin, it's visor is not as V shaped and it has a area of black armor where the 'point' of the V would be.
- In the official Halo 3 stratagy guide it lists that the sholders are unlocked by unlocking the We’re in for some Chop acheivement. This is however incorrect.
