A Regiment, or Brigade is a measure of a Military Unit[1]. Brigades usually have around 3000 to 5000 Soldiers or Marines in its ranks. A Regiment is the smallest Military Unit that can do sustained combat operations on its own.
The UNSC Marine Corps organizes its Division sized units into regiments, similar to the much older United States Marine Corps. These Regiments are the primary fighting force seen in sustained operations.
