Unknown armor seen on the Bungie Day painting

This unknown armor set is a type of United Nations Space Command body armor.

Introduction

The unknown armor set was seen in the packground of the picture released for Bungie Day and bears no similarity to the other armor sets released.

It will be an armor permutation in Halo 3 multiplayer. Bungie has confirmed all of the armor permutations have no effect on gameplay.

Trivia

  • The helemet appears to be superficially similar to the MJOLNIR VI armor but however is visor is thiner, as is it's face plate which seems to run to the shin, leaving a 'black' area between the visor and the face plate.
  • Its chest plate seems much more thicker than that of the EVA and CQB's chest plate and seems to be much more than simply armor bolted on but several segmented layers between one and three.
  • The shoulder pad seems similar to that of the EVA shoulder pad but has an angular peak in the center, where the object would be on the EVA armor.
