The 35mm Autocannon is a Covenant Loyalist vehicularly-mounted weapon mounted on the Brute Chopper.

It is a semi-automatic 35mm cannon.

The 35mm Autocannons are the primary offensive asset of Brute Choppers, and each Brute Chopper is mounted with four linked forward-firing 35mm autocannons.

This cannon is surprisingly powerful, and its ammunition is probably a larger form of the Spiker round.

While it may seem surprising that Brutes would use such human-like ammunition, remember that Brute weaponry is not that different from humans firearms in that they both fire projectiles, not plasma rounds

It most likely uses a Gast firing mechanism.

Tactics

The 35mm Autocannon uses a very powerful shell, but has a very low rate of fire. Also, the rounds are too slow to take down mobile targets, so you must:

  1. Use this gun on short-medium range
  2. Lead targets
  3. Drive forward or stop momentarily, because they're forward mounted on a mobile section of the Chopper
  4. Don't use this gun against multiple targets

When facing this weapon, you must:

  1. Avoid the incoming rounds, which are slow enough
  2. Prepare an anti vehicular weapon, because the driver will attempt to smash you
  3. Try to attack on teams a Chopper driver: he/she wont be able to lead and shot down multiple targets surrounding his/her craft

Remember that the 35mm Autocannon can only shoot down one enemy at a time, so don't rush among enemy formations, and don't stay there for too long

Avoid excessive turning while firing as this will throw off the rounds' trajectory.
