The 35mm Autocannon is a Covenant Loyalist vehicularly-mounted weapon mounted on the Brute Chopper.
It is a semi-automatic 35mm cannon.
The 35mm Autocannon's are the primary offensive asset of Brute Chopper's, and each Brute Chopper is mounted with four linked forward-firing 35mm autocannon's.
This cannon is surprisingly powerful, its ammunition is probably a larger form of the Spiker round.
While it may seem surprising that Brutes would use such human-like ammunition, remember that Brute weaponry is not that different from humans firearms in that they both fire projectiles, not plasma rounds
It most likely uses a Gast firing mechanism.
Tactics
The 35mm Autocannon uses a very powerfull shell, but has a very low rate of fire. Also, the round are too slow for mobile objectives, so you must:
- Use this gun on short-medium range
- Lead targets
- Drive forward or stop momentaneously, because theyre forward mounted on a mobile section of the Chopper
- Dont use this gun against multiple objectives, avoid multiple combat
When facing this weapon, you must:
- Avoid the incoming rounds, which are slow enough
- Prepare an antivehicular weapon, because the driver will attemp to smash you
- Try to attack on teams a Chopper driver: he/she wont be able to lead and shot down multiple targets surrounding his/her craft
Remember that the 35mm Autocannon can only shoot down an enemy at a time, so dont rush among enemy formations, and dont stay there for too long
And please, dont turn your Chopper while shooting, or the rounds will hit the ground
