Lifts are elevators located on various locations on Alpha Halo and presumably other Halo Installations. They where plentiful around the area of the Control Room, but also on other locations around the ring. It should be noted that the Lifts looked very different depending on where they where located. For example, those around the control centre where small and had six corners, while those around the library where big enough for a pelican to land on and formed a circle. It should also be known that almost all the Lifts seen in Halo: Combat Evolved, except the really large ones, had a glass floor.
