EB Green is the UNSC's heavy duty tape. It was only mentioned when "the Master Chief either made some special modifications, used some EB Green to tape a little extra ammo on himself, had a 'full combat load' as described in Halo: The Flood." The U.S. Navy has their own version of EB Green with is military grade duct tape. It also appears in Halo: First Strike, when SPARTAN-104 uses it to secure a Rocket Launcher inside a Banshee flier.
EB Green is found throughout the Navy and rumored to originate from the Electric Boat shipyard, hence the name.
