| Another highly speculative theory could be that, according to a [[reclaimer]] theory and a line from [[343 Guilty Spark]], "Why would you hesitate to do what you have already done?", the Master Chief travels back in time and is the one to first activate Halo. This would partialy explain the comment on the armor upgrade during ''[[Halo: Combat Evolved]]''. However, this quote could be explained away by the fact that 343 GS is insane. But it could also support the [[Forerunner#Forerunners and Humans?|Forerunner-Human theory]]; because Forerunners are the ancestors of humans, they would look similar, and 343 GS mistook the Chief for a Forerunner.
