Interestingly, on a long deleted site, it noted detales about this game type. Though these are not confirmed true facts, they should be noted: One side would be green (infection team) and another team (any color), infection team would have to kill the other team untill all other players are on there team (when infection team kills, those players are forced to switch sides for the rest of the match) the other team would have to hold out for a period of time without all the team being infected. Though it all seems to fall for infections side, they do have their drawbacks: they can only pick up the weapons of the ones they indevidualy kill (you kill them, you can have thier weapon), the connot pick up spawned weapons alone, they only use the ones thier spawned with or picked up from another dead opponent. Once again, this information was only rumered, not fact. |

Infection is an unconfirmed multiplayer gametype in Halo 3, discovered by beta source code hackers. It is hypothesized that it consists of Flood infected units fighting against the player. The object of the game is to survive the Flood infection.
Infection could also be the classic game of Zombies, but with rules to get rid of the honor system. This is just speculation.
