Open Season is a medal awarded in Halo 3 Multiplayer for killing 10 opponents in a row with the shotgun without dying, melees with the Shotgun are not allowed to gain this medal. It is represented by a bronze five-pointed star with three green shotgun shells. This medal was called Cheney mania earlier in development.
This medal can be easily obtained through many maps, but is easiest on common camping spots or in objective-based games where the focus is drawn away from killing. Especially on maps like Epitaph, Foundry and Guardian. [1]
Notes
- Snowbound is an easy level to acquire this medal on. Grab the shotgun in the caverns below the surface, then patrol that same underground area, utilizing the energy doors and narrow corridors to trap opponents.
- And so is Guardian. Just camp in the green area and look out for the action above.
