Introduction
Template:WepList The M6G is the predecessor of the M6C Magnum Sidearm and the M6D Pistol, and is to be featured in Halo 3 as the premier UNSC standard pistol. At present, little is known about it.
It fires with a relatively fast rate of fire and good accuracy. Unlike its predecessor, the M6D HE Pistol, it does not possess a scope.[2]
Little about the M6G's capabilities are known, except that it does not have a scope. From leaked videos, it appears that the pistol holds eight rounds in a magazine and has slightly less power than the M6D. It also fires high explosive rounds.[3]
Appearances
The M6G is only found in Halo 3. At first, when it made appearances in leaked alpha-build games, and even later, when it appeared in the Starry Night trailer and the Halo 3 ViDoc: Is Quisnam Protero Damno!, it was claimed to be the M6D Pistol. However, in April 2007, it was confirmed by Frank O'Connor that the M6D would not be appearing in Halo 3, and that it would be replaced by the scopeless M6G.
Beta Functionality
The latest leaked Halo 3 Internal Beta video has shown us a more accurate interpretation of the M6G. It can only carry 8 rounds and has no zoom (only bringing up your binoculars instead like in Halo 2). The one thing that has been shown that's important is that it is duel-wieldable and fires much slower than a Magnum, making it a weaker weapon than anticipated.
