The game soon became "The Two Towers" (no, not the LOTR film). Birdlane's prodigous skill with the BR and Tater's penchant for grenade bombing from afar drove back Relentless, who was desperately trying to snipe out Red Team, but was unable to, admist the hail of flying shrapnel from frags and Birdlane's continual salvo of bullets from the BR Tower. This playing around continued for awhile, but eventually, progress was made. Relentless sniped out Birdlane, was in turn somehow killed by Tater, etc...but the War of the Two Towers remained.

However, soon, Relentless's glorious skills (hey, Ryan, stop kicking me! owow!) Okay, I mean, ahem...Relentless's and Ryan's joint skills, broke the back of the Red Team, which scattered into disarray in the labyrinth of subterranean tunnels of Lockout. Ryan insisted on killing the usurpers, and forced Relentless outta the snipe tower to play a game of cat-and-mouse. However, Ryan was too relentless (haha), and got Orange Team pinned in the bottom room of the BR Tower. Now, Birdlane and Tater had the upper hand, and from their santcum on the second floor of the BR Tower, only had to chuck down a flurry of 'nades down the stairs and the one-way hole interconnecting the two rooms.

Overview

Orange Team takes Sniper Tower

The close quarters action of Lockout inevitably led to the presiding of the Energy Sword as the key factor to dominance. There were also other power chips: plasma grenade (one-stick kills) and the sniper rifle (used to annihilate enemies from the Sniper Tower).

First blood was scored when Red Team fired a Battle Rifle at where the sniper rifle resided. There was Ryan, scoping 'round to find perpetrators, when the fuel cells behind him ignited and immolated him in fire. 1-0 Red.

After Relentless took the snipe tower once again and Ryan rejoined him, Red decided to suicidally charge the snipe tower, learning pain from Relentless's newly acquired sword. A few firefights occured, in which one Tater charged the snipe tower, somehow uber-pwned Ryan, and as Relentless leapt up with the sword...stuck him.

To quote Tater:

"The Empire strikes back!"
— Darth Tater, alluding to Star Wars Episode V

However, Orange recovered, beating the helluva outta Red at the contested grounds of the snipe tower, and Red learned quickly not to continue charging, and withdrew to the BR tower. Relentless and Ryan (hey, they both start with an "R"!) insouciantly trashed Orange, that is, until Birdlane got ahold of the BR.

"The Two Towers"

Red Takes the Upper Hand

This became agitating, until Relentless broke out with da sword. Birdlane was impaled, subsequently died, and Relentless rounded the corner into the second floor room to find...a plasma grenade stuck to his helmet! -BHAM!- and claimed the sword. Then, Tater took a walk and slew Ryan in the third floor room.

A problem for Orange Team. A large problem. A few minor firefights later, this was exacerbated when Birdlane got his hands on the sniper, while Tater still possessed the sword. While Ryan charged like a zealous dog, intercepting sniper rounds like an amoeboid in the process, eventually, Relentless convinced him to play it tactical. Or just for a moment. Orange Team flanked Red Team, which was holed up in the BR tower, on the top floor. Ryan steadfastly advanced from the left ramp, passing by the superjump location, while Relentless un-relentlessly came from the ramp from the library room.

Ryan sneakily attacked Birdlane, thinking that his mad close-range SMG skillz could own Birdlane's noscoping skills with the sniper, just to find that Birdlane had the sword and Tater had the sniper. Birdlane lunged and stabbed him to hell, leaving Relentless with an unaware Tater. The Sith Lord swiveled in circles, unable to bring about his sniper's reticule on Relentless, and was unilaterally owned by a sole SMG. However, when Tater respawned and Red Team surged from the second floor of the BR tower, pwning Relentless, his small victory was gone.

Finale

At the end, things got bloody and close-cut. Orange Team held the sniper tower, and pathetically defended it from Tater, who, armed with his sword, slaughtered both Ryan and Relentless. However, Orange Team ascended to glory as Orange respawned, and launched a small guerilla war, claiming the lives of Tater and Birdlane in the end.
