Template:Ship The M12A1 Warthog Light Anti-Armor Vehicle (abbreviated M12A1 LAAV), more commonly known as the Rocket Warthog, is a United Nations Space Command ground vehicle.

Introduction

It is a variant of the Warthog series of vehicle, but is by far the least common. It is seen only in Halo PC. Its position as the UNSC LAAV is usurped by the far more common M12G1 Warthog LAAV in Halo 2.

Description

The M12A1 Warthog is exactly the same as the standard M12 Warthog LRV, except for two differences:

1. It has yellow paint stripes lined through the base to distinguish it from the standard M12 Warthog. It also is painted black, the picture on the right was an in-progress design.
2. It is armed with a 102mm SC-HE Rocket Turret on the back seat. The turret can shoot three surface-to-surface rockets before reloading, but like all projectile weapons, it must be reloaded when the magazine capacity is depleted.

Trivia

1. It is a possibility that the rocket warthog in Halo PC could be that of CPO Mendez's, as he had his warthog customised with the replacement of a LAAG with a rack of Argent V missiles. However in Halo:Custom Edition there are warthogs with 5 rapid fire missiles.
