Honor Guard refers to Covenant warriors that defend the Prophets. The term is used five times in the Halo universe:
- Brute Honor Guard- The newer Honor Guards, chosen for their stronger loyalty to the Prophets
- Elite Honor Guard- The typical Imperial Protectors of the Covenant before the events that led to the Civil War of the Covenant
- Honor Guard Ultra - An uncommon variant of the standard Honor Guard Elites
- Honor Guard Councillor - A very rare variant of the standard Honor Guard Elite, believed to be the highest Honor Guard in the Covenant regardless of race
- Honor Guard Pike - A Covenant melee weapon, the highest weapon of any Honor Guard
