Petty Officer Second Class is the fifth enlisted rank of the UNSC Navy and is a non-commissioned officer. It is equal in rank to Sergeant in the UNSC Marine Corps.

In informal settings, Petty Officers Second Class are typically called "Petty Officer".

The Rating badge to the right should be red, unless the second class was in the navy for more then 12 years with good conduct.
