The Covenant Destroyer[1] is a warship classification within the Covenant Navy.
Background
It is 1500 meters long, and it is about one and a half times the weight of a Covenant Frigate.
This class of starship is extremely well-armed, boasting multiple pulse laser turrets, plasma torpedo launcher(s) and Seraph-class starfighters. Jacob Keyes noted its weapons systems, saying it turned UNSC ships into "Swiss cheese" but succeeded in destroying one, as well as 2 Covenant frigates in his UNSC destroyer.
This dangerous warship classification has the distinctive three huge sections of heavier Covenant warships, mirroring the lethality of its larger cousins. Probably the most well-known ship of this class was the Bloodied Spirit, captured by three SPARTAN-IIs, Fred, Will, and Linda, in a haphazard plan which recovered captured nuclear warheads, eliminated another Brute-controlled destroyer, and gave them a much faster ship to take them to Onyx.
Trivia
- Jacob Keyes destroyed one with a maneuver later dubbed as the Keyes Loop.
