Somebody fix this page, I have a problem with the Covenant Destroyer Page. The Halo Wars ship was the same size as Spirit of Fire, you can check the game cinematics when they collide. If the Spirit is 2500 meters, why does this page list the Halo Wars Destroyer as 1500? That's way too small! IF anything its not a desroyer, more closer to 2800 meters which could make it a Reverence Class Ship. I am too new at this to do it myself, if I try it will only get reverted back anyways.

The Covenant Destroyer[1] is a warship classification within the Covenant Navy.

Background

It is 1500 meters long, and it is about one and a half times the tonnage of a Covenant Frigate.

This class of starship is extremely well-armed, boasting multiple pulse laser turrets, plasma torpedo launcher(s) and Seraph-class starfighters. Jacob Keyes noted its weapons systems, saying it turned UNSC ships into "Swiss cheese" but succeeded in destroying one, as well as 2 Covenant frigates in his (far inferior) UNSC destroyer.

This dangerous warship classification has the distinctive three huge sections of heavier Covenant warships, mirroring the lethality of its larger cousins. They usually are escorting the bigger warships and will deal out deadly blows in the event the bigger warships are attacked and can hold their own in a fight.

Probably the most well-known ship of this class was the Bloodied Spirit, captured by the SPARTAN-IIs Fred, Will, and Linda, in a haphazard plan which recovered captured nuclear warheads, eliminated another Brute-controlled destroyer, and gave them a much faster ship to take them to Onyx.

Trivia

  • Jacob Keyes destroyed one with a manuever later dubbed as the Keyes Loop.
  • Despite being smaller in size than a Cruiser, in Halo Wars cutscenes a Destroyer is shown slightly shorter than a Phoenix-class Colony Ship, which is over two kilometers.
