Eternal Spring was a fifth generation "smart" Artificial Intelligence. He was likely operational from 2530 to 2537.
Eternal Spring was assigned to Onyx and the planetary survey team in the Forerunner pre-colonized area of Zone 67. After Camp Currahee was established and founded there, Eternal Spring agreed to devote nine percent of his runtime to the Spartan-III project.[1] He got along well with Spartan-051, who was happy for his help, despite his occasional theatrics. He helped in the training of the Spartan-III Alpha Company until he "died" or rather expired. He was then quickly replaced with another smart A.I., Deep Winter.[2]
