The Spike Grenade is a weapon introduced in Halo 3. When it detonates, it shoots a wave of spikes. Like the Plasma Grenade, the Spike Grenade sticks to the surface it lands on. Unlike the Plasma Grenade, it can stick on walls and floors, rather than just enemies.[1]
Another name for the weapon is the Nail Grenade, because according to 1up.com when it explodes, nails are released.
