* Its fast, but it has no gun and, as it was said in the article, it is difficult to run people over with it... it will die horribly in direct combat. just a cut down version of the warthog, trading its combat power for speed [[User:Campaign Obsessive|Campaign Obsessive]] 10:08, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Both the vehicles are light assualt/recon vehicles.  Wraiths and Scorps are Main Battle Tanks.  Warthogs, Spectres, and Prowlers are assualt transports.  Choppers, ghosts, and mongooses are recon vehicles.  The tanks are heavy hitters and well armored.  Warthogs, Spectres, and Prowlers transport infantry and carry light guns.  Chopper and mongoose drivers are exposed with no armor (sure the chopper has a ton of metal in front but on every other side he is exposed).  Clearly neither is meant to be used singularly in heavy combat and without support.  Both support others and provide tactical assistance.  By that arguement they are equivalent vehicles.  They have different characteristics but fill the same role.  I'm not saying you can't use choppers as lone killing and tank destroying platforms but it takes skill to use it outside its strengths just like the mongoose.
