Major is a field-grade commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Marine Corps, UNSC Army and UNSC Air Force, equal in rank to the Lieutenant Commander in the UNSC Navy.
A Major is typically found as an executive officer in a battalion or as an operations officer. However, they may be found in command of Battalions, such as the case of Major Antonio Silva in Halo: The Flood, or in service as a staff officer for larger units.
