UNSC Astrophysics is a branch of HIGHCOM that deals exclusively with stellar phenomena. Whenever an anomaly is seen and reported, details of it are sent to UNSC astrophysics; where the scientists there attempt to study explain it[1]. Additionally, they publish an astrophysics journal. Former Spartan-II soldier Fhajad-084 now worked for UNSC Astrophysics after his discharge from the Spartan program, eventually publishing at least one paper for the journal[2].
UNSC Astrophysics also keeps observational databases that catalog all known phenomena. These databases are avaliable to the public.[2]
