Optimatch is an option in Halo 2 Xbox Live matchmaking. Optimatch allows you to search the gametypes and select the one you want to play, instead of being put into a random gametype by using the Quickmatch option.
The main advantage of Optimatch is that you have more control over what gametype you play. If you don't want to play Team Snipers, but you want to play BTB Skirmish, then you simply select BTB Skirmish.
