The highest rank in the [[Brute]] caste system. The only known holder of this title was [[Tartarus]]. The Chieftain apparently controls the entire Brute population. It is unknown if this rank holds any signifigante influence in the [[High Council]]. The Cheiftain does, however, speak for the Brutes to both the High Council and the [[High Prophets]]. The Chieftain also appears to be in charge of the [[Sacred Icon]] and [[Halo Delta]]'s activation. | |||
