Description
Grenade sniping is a tactic whereby players shoot grenades in Halo 3 with a sniper rifle or Beam Rifle, causing them to explode prematurely.
Uses
- If avoiding a grenade is not feasible, shooting the grenade will prevent it from damaging you.
- It is possible, although extremely difficult, to damage an enemy vehicle with a fragmentation grenade by throwing it near the enemy vehicle and shooting it.
- This strategy can help you in multiplayer to explode approaching grenades from a distance.
Trivia
- This can be extremely hard to execute, due to the difficulty in shooting the grenade.
- This is normally done with a Frag Grenade, since others are generally not solid enough for this trick. But any grenade can be sniped.
- Spike grenades are the easiest grenades to snipe due to their size.
