Summary
The Epsilon Eridani System, or Beta Gabriel, is 10.8 light years from earth making it the closest known star and planetary system to Earth. It is home to many of the UNSC's strongholds and military bases, such as Reach (The planet Epsilon Eridani is 14 million km from Reach). Master Chief is from the Epsilon Eridani system. The space between the exit from Slipspace and Reach is a popular space pirate area, as unwary civilian ships will often be robbed of their goods.
