I joined Halopedia on October 10, 2005 as "Ed", but during Halopedia's transfer of domains in summer of 2006, I had to change that to "ED". I was an administrator on this site from August, 2006 until August, 2008. I am currently a sophomore at the Ohio University Scripps school of Journalism, majoring in news editing, as well as an MS-2 grade cadet in the US Army Reserve Officer's Training Corps. I'm also on Wikipedia, working on articles related to the United States Army. I play a lot of Halo 3 on Xbox live, and I also own Halo: Combat Evolved PC and Halo 2 Vista. I also read the novels. My biggest contributions in the past have been purely big writing jobs, but I have had less time to do so lately. Much of my editing is devoted to copy-edits, controlling speculation, categorization of just about everything, and welcoming new users. ED's background with the military | |||||||||||||||
So you see, RR and a bunch of other people give a testament to my knowledge of the intricacies of the US Military. This is because I am an officer in training with the United States Army. Here is a real CSV for you: UNITED STATES AIR FORCE JUNIOR RESERVE OFFICER'S TRAINING CORPS 2003 - 2005
OHIO-081ST SQUADRON I was a member of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFJROTC) Ohio 81st Cadet Squadron for my first two years of High School. I took four courses in JROTC: Aerospace Science I, Aerospace Science II, Advanced Drill and Ceremonies, and Summer Leadership School. I was also a member of four JROTC marching teams: Inspected Drill Routine (IDR), Armed Inspected Drill Routine, Saber Team, and Honor Guard, as well as the Kitty Hawk Air Society. I was assigned to second element, Delta Flight from 2004 until 2004, and first element, Charlie Flight from 2004 to 2005. My experiences in JROTC were amazing, and include two weeks of rigorous training at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, commanding an honor guard in presenting the colors during the national anthem of a Cincinnati Reds baseball game, and flying on missions in a C-141 Starifter of the 445th Airlift Wing and a KC-135 Stratotanker of the 121st Air Refueling Wing. There are countless others. When I left JROTC, I had a total of sixty four awards, including four medals and twenty ribbons. My rank was cadet Chief Master Sergeant. Ribbons

BOBCAT BATTALION, 7TH RESERVE OFFICER'S TRAINING CORPS BRIGADE I am a member of the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps at Ohio University, the "Bobcat Battalion." It is a subordinate unit of the 7th Reserve Officer Training Corps Brigade of the US Army Cadet Command. I am an MS-1 level cadet, assigned to Bravo team, sixth squad, first platoon, Alpha Company of the Battalion. I am taking Military science classes 102 and 110B, and though I am not yet contracted with the US Army, I plan to do so either in 2008 or 2009, as I am focusing on my major.
