Biography
An unsuccessful augmentation left Kirk skeleton disfigured and physically disabled, effectively ending his career as a SPARTAN-II. Once removed from the UNSC Atlas with the other surviving cripples he was reassigned to a non-combat position within the Navy where his mental attributes could still be utilized for mission planning, data analysis, and general troubleshooting.[1]
