Nyx (AI Serial Number: NYX 3620-4) is an artificial intelligence construct serving aboard the UNSC From the Ashes, an Office of Naval Intelligence Winter-class prowler.[1][2]

On January 21, 2558, Nyx served as the designated mission AI for ONI Section Three's clandestine operation to eliminate Avu Med 'Telcam, the leader of the Servants of the Abiding Truth. Nyx was attached to the prowler UNSC From the Ashes to deliver SPARTAN-G059 to New Llanelli in the Brunel system. Aboard the UNSC From the Ashes, Nyx provided the Spartan-III with recon intel about threats present in the ruins of a human city occupied by 'Telcam and his forces. After Nyx confirmed it was clear to engage their target, SPARTAN-G059 charged through obstacles and was successful in killing Avu Med 'Telcam and several of his guards. Once the Spartan was extracted from the planet, Nyx received an incoming transmission with a new mission briefing.
